Tom Drahos
Born 1947, Czechoslovakia. Lives and works in Paris, France.
Henri Cartier-Bresson’s work epitomized the reportage photography that influenced Tom Drahos, who started out by taking pictures in black and white. In the 1970s, he changed his method and, for his DATAR pictures in the Paris suburbs, started using color filters, decomposing and recomposing the film. A film school graduate, he uses pictures in a field of multidisciplinary experience, becoming a visual art photography trailblazer.
