Hans De Vries
Born 1947, The Netherlands. Lives and work in Denmark.
Hans de Vries worked as an artist in the Netherlands until about 1980. Then he moved, first to Germany, then to Denmark, where he began running his own dairy farm. In 1969 he won the Gerard te Borg Prize in Almelo. He has had solo exhibitions at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam (1971), the Youth Biennale in Paris, the Vienne Biennale, the Gemeentemuseum, The Hague (1975), the Kunst Historisch Instituut, Groningen (1974), t Venster Gallery, Rotterdam (1974), and Waalkens Gallery, Finsterwolde (1974). His book publications include Weeromstandigheden (1969), Gechiedenis van de citroengeranium (1973), and Dode beestenboek (1974). He has also made several short films.
