Sebastian KLEMM
Klemm’s gallery, Co-founder, Germany
1 Afternoon & 2 Morning
Sebastian Klemm is initiator and co-owner of Klemm's in Berlin. Founded as a gallery for contemporary art in 2008 the programming champions artists from different generations, cultural backgrounds and media whose work is linked by a shared interest in the transformation of experienced reality and who engage with social realities in combination with an aesthetic consciousness.
Next to representing outstanding positions of conceptual photography such as Erica Baum, Viktoria Binschtok or Adrian Sauer a.o., Klemm's is also closely working with the estates of influential and visionary artists Jan Groover and Juan Pablo Echeverri.
Based on an artistic notion of the medium, Sebastian is committed to the conviction that the photo-graphic image is at the center of many fundamental discourses regarding our social and visual culture per se. He is also involved in advising private and corporate collections on new developments and potential acquisitions in the field. Sebastian is a member of the selection committee for Paris Photo.
