Elisabeth was born in Poland and grew up in Munich (Germany). She studied at the Schmidt Dolmetscher Institut of Munich. Since 1970 she has been living in Paris - until July 2022 with Claude.
In 1988 she and Claude co-founded Galerie Claude Samuel at 18, Place des Vosges, Paris.
The gallery later relocated to a space 69, avenue Daumesnil, Paris. The gallery represented and exhibited contemporary Artists, of renown or emergent such as: Shimon Attie, Gilles Delmas, Franc_ois Fontaine, Christian Gattinoni, Jean-Baptiste Huynh, Laurence Leblanc, Robert Mann, Dominique Obadia, Isabelle Rozenbaum, Malick Sidibe, Bernadette Tintaud, James Iroha Uchechukwu, Rafael Goldchain, etc.
Since 2010 she participates in the Photo Folio Review.
